AGARTALA, Aug 2, 2017: Is it a rumor or a pre-planned game? A woman who was allegedly abducted since Monday from Bodhjungnagar area was found at her home in Dhalai District’s Raishyabari after about 17 hours.
Interestingly, she admitted she was never abducted .
But her confession took a long time and in the meantime, the rumor of her abduction took a violent turn in the form of protests, clash that left around 30 police officials including the OC injured and huge loss of properties.
Police said that Rabindra Debbarma was the first who complained about kidnapping of the woman at Bodhjungnagar police station.
In preliminary inquiry, police discovered that she and Rabindra Debbarma were moving to Bodhjungnagar as she was supposed to meet her husband, a TSR jawan to get some money. But mid-way, they got separated that led Rabindra to suspect that she was kidnapped.
However, the police later found that her husband, a jawan of the 11th battalion of TSR actually is posted at Bishramganja in South Tripura District.
“She told us that she was not aware of her husband’s posting which is a contradicting statement. But she admitted that she was never kidnapped.
