Nagaland: Govt polytechnic inaugurated in Phek

DIMAPUR, June 25, 2018: Minister for Higher & Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along inaugurated a Government Polytechnic in Tsunazho, Chetheba, Phek on Saturday, June 23.

According to a press release, speaking on the occasion, the Minister thanked the Village Council for allowing to set up a government Polytechnic Tsunazho. He envisaged to set up a government polytechnic in every district of Nagaland and to impart world class education.

The minister further mentioned, stated the release, that the department will work diligently for the development of the institute and assured to do an assessment and evaluation for smooth and proper functioning of every government polytechnic in Nagaland. The institute will offer 3 years' Diploma program on Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) from this academic year.

Short speeches at the program were delivered by Nuzota Swuro, Ex MLA, Kevechutso Doulo, Chairman, NEPED, Orenthung, DC, Phek and Er. Arjun Singh, Director, Technical Education, Nagaland. The programme was chaired by Er. Vipulhou Lhoungu, OSD, Technical Education. Invocation was pronounced by Vekronü Chüzho, Pastor, Baptist Church Cheswezu. Vote of thanks was delivered by Er. Keduhiwe Kapfo, Principal, Govt. Polytechnic, Tsunazho, Chetheba, Phek.
