Assam: Three JMB militants brought to Guwahati from Kolkata

GUWAHATI: Three terrorists of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen (JMB), arrested in Kolkata recently, have been brought to Guwahati.

Assam police sources said the three militants were brought from Kolkata last evening and were being held at the Special Branch headquarters here. Assam Police is likely to seek their custody after producing them at a local court here later today.

The trio was involved in anti-national activities and were active members of JMB.

While one of them hailed from Barpeta district of Assam, another had entered the state illegally and married a woman in Barpeta. The third one hailed from Burdwan in West Bengal.
