Assam: Fake currencies worth Rs 95000 busted from Fakirganj!

Mar 20, 2017- The Border Security Force on Monday busted a fake note smuggling racket at Fakirganj in South Salamara along the Indo-Bangladesh border. Two persons were also arrested.

The seized fake currencies worth Rs 95000 includes Rs 2000 notes (25), Rs 500 (70) and Rs 100 (100) notes (numbers in brackets is number of notes). Earlier, on March 16 the BSF had seized counterfeit currency worth Rs 4.40 lakh.

On the other hand, security agencies have reportedly gained leads that Indian fake currency rackets are operating from Bangladesh.
