3.2 magnitude earthquake hits Manipur’s Senapati district

IMPHAL, June 2: Earthquake of 3.2 magnitude hit Senapati district in Manipur at around 5:48 pm on Thursday. No damage to property or loss of life was reported.

Tremors were also felt in Sikkim, early in the morning which measured 4.6 on the Richter scale.

The north eastern part of India has been regularly facing the wrath of earthquakes since last year and it just brings a grim reminder to the 2016 Imphal earthquake which struck northeast India in the state of Manipur on January 4 with a magnitude of 6.7. At least eleven people were killed, 200 others were injured and numerous buildings were damaged.
