Futsal will soon grip the country as the inaugural season of the game will have the likes of Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Ronaldinho be a part of it. The season will begin on July 15 and will end on July 24.The league will bring 56 of the best futsal players from across the globe in one competitive format.
The main difference between futsal and football is futsal is usually played indoors while football is an outdoor sport.
Futsal matches have only 5 a side teams which include the goalkeeper while football has 11.
Traditional football allows for 3 substitues while futsal allows for unlimited substitutions, although the maximum number of subs allowed on the bench are 7.
A subbed player can be allowed to come back into the game after a substitution unlike in football where once subbed the player is out.
Futsal is played on a hard concrete pitch.
Futsal is played in two halves of 20 mins each and during half time the break has to be less than or equal to 15 minutes.
There is no throw in but rather, the ball has to be kicked onto the pitch.
