AGARTALA: The Tripura head office of Rose Valley Company, a Non Banking Financial Institution was raided by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday morning.
Two Rose Valley agents were also detained for interrogation, one police official said today.
“A surprise raid was conducted at the Rose Valley head office amidst absence of all staffs. However, we booked two agents for further progress into the case,” the official said.
While conducting the raid, the contingent of CBI recovered huge documents from the office.
Hearing the news of detaining two youths, namely Santosh Kumar Bhowmik and Narayana Debnath, a large number of Rose Valley agents crowded near the office. Security personnel have been deployed near the office to maintain peace amidst the chaotic situation.
Earlier, Rose Valley director Ashok Saha and Branch Manager Anupam Bhattacharjee were arrested for their alleged involvement in collecting money from the customers.
The company had made profit of Rs. 196 crore since its inception in the state in 2011. However, an amount to the tune of Rs. 86 crore was handed over to the respective customers.
