Manipur government closes Ima Keithel market for 10 days
The order further stated that one in every three shops located at Paona Bazaar and Thangal Bazaar will open on a rotational basis
The iconic Ima Keithel (women’s market) will be closed for 10 days given the increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 infections in Manipur, an order issued by the Home Department, Government of Manipur stated.
The order further stated that one in every three shops located at Paona Bazaar and Thangal Bazaar will open on a rotational basis
Furthermore, every third shop of wholesale and grocery item at Masjid road and Ngari Gali will open on a rotational basis.
Besides, Public transport vehicle such as buses, winger vans, autorickshaws, E-rickshaws will carry passengers half their capacity, the order said.
As the above-said markets are in Imphal, for the remaining markets in other districts of Manipur, the Deputy Commissioners of other districts have been directed to evaluate the situation and issue suitable restriction orders.
