Assam: Two youths from Assam beaten up in south Delhi


GUWAHATI, October 25: Two youths from Assam were beaten up by two locals in south Delhi for urinating near a shop, police said on Tuesday.

Simon and Jason, hailing from Cachar district, called the police after they were thrashed by shopkeeper Rohit and an unidentified person around 11.30 p.m. on Monday for urinating near a grocery shop in Mahipalpur area, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ishwar Singh said.

Simon and Jason later reportedly told police that they did not want legal action against the accused and refused to undergo medical examination since they did not suffer major injuries.
