Police arrested the duo following a recent complaint lodged with the Bhangagarh police by Sujit Bordhan, the registrar of Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences in the Narkasur hilltop area here.
“Hrishikesh Bhuyan and Monoranjan Roy, both homoeopathic doctors, were reportedly practising allopathic medicine in a few private hospitals of Guwahati by submitting fake MBBS degree certificates in the name of Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences,” Bordhan stated in the FIR.
