TAWANG:
The 12-day ‘Trans Arunachal Drive 2021’ concluded at Tawang on Monday, with participants arriving at the destination after spending ample time on the roads exploring the state’s rich diversity.

Earlier, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu flagged off the Trans Arunachal Drive at the Golden Pagoda in Namsai on April 7 as part of the ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ campaign under the state tourism department to strengthen the tourism sector.

Though the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic severely affected tourism, it did not deter the participants of the Trans Arunachal Drive from travelling through 16 districts to explore the tourism potential of the state.

According to sources from the state tourism department, they will further incorporate the experience and the recommendations of the participants in the different schemes to be undertaken by the State Government to promote tourism.

“Flagged in the Trans Arunachal Drive in PT Tso at Tawang. The drive which, was flagged off from Namsai on April 7, has travelled through 16 districts, experiencing our rich culture and tourism. This will create awareness and promote tourism in the state,” Khandu tweeted.
