The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has ordered all colleges, universities, and polytechnics to close from May 1 until further orders due to the worsening COVID-19 situation in the country.


According to a notification issued by the State Government and the Rajiv Gandhi University in Itanagar, all students must vacate their respective hostels/boarding schools by May 1.
Classes will continue through online mode, the notification read.

The notification also stated that private universities and central autonomous institutions must prepare the academic calendar and examination schedule according to the latest guidelines issued by the UGC and the Ministry of Education.


Besides this, offices of all educational institutions must adhere to COVID-19 protocols and SOPs.
