Arunachal's rural households to get tap water connections by March 2022

The state has 2.17 lakh rural households, out of which 47 per cent have access to tap water supply.

ITANAGAR:

The Government of Arunachal Pradesh would provide 65 thousand tap water connections to rural households by March next year under Jal Jeevan Mission.

Arunachal Pradesh on April 21 presented its Annual Action Plan (AAP) via video conference.

The government has also reiterated its commitment to achieving the Har Ghar Jal target by 2023.

The state has 2.17 lakh rural households, out of which 47 per cent have access to tap water supply.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Jal Jeevan Mission in 2019 with an aim to provide tap water connection to every rural household by 2024.
