Meghalaya: Dacoits extorts family of 4 lakh and mobile phones in South Garo hills

Baghmara, March 4: In yet another dacoity case, one house was ravaged by unknown miscreants leaving its family members unharmed. However, the criminals managed to run away with 4 lakh rupees along with 6 to 7 mobile phones.

A group of  over 15  dacoits who are suspected to be from Bangladesh, stormed the house of Sri Surendra Debbarma in Lower Gasuapara, South Garo Hills today.

According to an official comment of the SP of South Garo Hills, the men who were armed with lethal weapons were also dressed in camouflage wear along with covered scarves on their faces.  The men barged into Mr. Debbarma’s house by breaking open both the gate and the door at 1:00 AM in the morning.
