TNT: Did you always want to see yourself as beauty pageant?
Rinky Chakma: I wanted to .. but not only as beauty pageant, but also to excel in other activities too ..
TNT: Can you explain in detail?
Rinky Chakma: Apart from the beauty contest, I aspire to work in a Non-Government Organization (NGO) to reach to the people who deserve helping hands. And if you talk about beauty contest, I must say that I want to make a history in a different way through this glamour world. In a single line to say, I want to be a Role Model or inspiration for everyone.
TNT: Are you currently associated with any NGO in Tripura?
Rinky Chakma: No I’m not associated with any NGO right now
TNT: Where did you complete your schooling and college?
Rinky Chakma: I did my schooling in Eklavya Model Residential School, Tripura and presently, I am pursuing my graduation in Sociology honours from IGNOU Agartala centre.
TNT: Suppose, you win the Femina Miss India contest, do you want to choose modeling or acting as career? If not, do you have plan for higher studies?
Rinky Chakma: Yes, I do have plans to pursue higher studies. And, I am not interested to build a career in acting as of now.
TNT: Besides study and beauty contest, how do you like to spend your leisure time?
Rinky Chakma: I love to spend time listening to music and move my body rhythmically to the tune of music. Actually, I am in a noble profession of enlightening young minds through my passion for teaching and this makes my life meaningful and interesting because there’s nothing like sharing knowledge.
TNT: Do you have any past experience as contestant in such beauty contests?
Rinky Chakma: I was the first Runner Up in Sunsilk Mega Miss Northeast in 2015
TNT: So, you teach students? But profession of a teacher and beauty contest are like two poles apart!
Rinky Chakma: Yes, I do teach students. Yes, teaching and glamour world do not match with each other, but I manage both happily.
TNT: What led you to take part in beauty contest? Is there any ideology that inspired you to be beauty contest participant?
Rinky Chakma: It was my dream to see myself in National Level and International level in any field since I was a child. I didn’t know then whether I could get there, but God had perhaps read my mind then and I got a chance to step in the national level in beauty contest.

Rinky Chakma: My favourite actor is Salman Khan.. Actress is Deepika Padukone.. Model is Kangana Ranaut. I am a great fan of Salman Khan and Kangana Ranaut
TNT: Your family has no objection in your choice of beauty contest?
Rinky Chakma: Had my family not been supportive, I would not have been able to come this far. My family supported me a lot and they have no objections to me partaking in beauty contest. But sometimes, the financial burden that comes along with this domain becomes a little too much.
TNT: Can you recall any incident in your childhood or teenage that inspired you to come to limelight through beauty contest?
Rinky Chakma: I was inspired by seeing girls in shows like Runways on TV. .but then I didn’t get those kind of atmosphere to become a model or to participate in beauty pageants till 2013. After I joined college, I met a friend called Papiya Reang who used to tell me about the glamour world and also asked to participate in Sunsilk Mega Miss Northeast 2015.
TNT: Do you think, Northeast Indian girls especially in Tripura are competent enough to beat contestants from other metro cities? If not, why do you think so?
Rinky Chakma: Yes, I believe Tripura girls are quite competent enough to beat other contestants because that’s what I started believing after my selection as Femina Miss Tripura.
TNT: If you are given a choice from the two – teaching job and ruling glamour world, which one will you prefer?
Rinky Chakma: It depends on the moment because this is a golden opportunity for me to participate in Fbb Femina Miss India and I will grab all the chance to prove myself worthy.
