AIZAWL: Chief minister Lal Thanhawla hosted a state dinner-cum-cultural programme for Korean delegates who arrived here for a three-day visit yesterday.
The eight-member team, led by Korean ambassador to India Joongyu Lee, included Song Jin Hwa, political counsellor, Joon Yul yoo, chief project manager, Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co Ltd; Il Joon Kwan, managing director, Doosan Power System India Ltd; In Hwan Ok, Chairman, Posco E&C India Pvt Ltd; Jinyong Shin, director, Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Illwhoan Chin, managing director, Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and Youngeun Song, managing director, Time Tech Management Pvt Ltd.
Korean ambassador Joongyu Lee, thanked the chief minister Lal Thanhawla for inviting them to visit the state. He said they came here to strengthen relations between Mizoram and Korea.
Endorsing the chief minister’s proposal for cultural exchange, Lee said Korea and Mizoram could be good friends as the young people of Mizoram are influenced by Korean cultures.
