1. Revealed at the 2016 Auto Expo, BMW G 310 R is the compact street bike featuring the smallest engine on offer by BMW Motorrad.

For power generation the street bike uses a 313cc engine developing decent power and torque output. Suspension set up will comprise of upside-down telescopic forks in front and adjustable monoshock placed at rear.

Dual disc brakes gauging 300mm and 240mm will be equipped in front and at back respectively providing stopping power. A twin-channel ABS system will further bolster the bike.

2. Renamed Kratos 400, Bajaj’s upcoming bike will use the 373.2cc, single cylinder engine powering KTM Duke 390.

The engine will, however, get Bajaj’s triple-spark technology implying the bike will get a different head as opposed to Duke. Telescopic front forks will replace the USDs and dual-channel ABS could also be seen on the bike.

3. The Benelli Leoncino is a scrambler-style concept showcased at the 2015 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. Looks are typical scrambler, as seems to be the rage across the world these days.

The Leoncino is a similar exercise – retro looks combined with modern technology. The concept Leoncino comes kitted out with a LED headlight, knobby tyres and a 500cc parallel twin engine.The Benelli Leoncino is expected to hit production next year and DSK Motowheels, which markets and sells Benelli bikes in India, has confirmed that the Leoncino will be launched in India in late 2016.

The 500cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine produces 47bhp power and 45Nm of torque. The Leoncino’s engine is mounted on a streel trellis frame with wire-spoke wheels – 19-inch at the front and a 17-inch at the rear.

4. The MV Agusta Brutale 800 perhaps the most expensive on this list but the least expensive offering from MV Agusta in the Indian market.

The Brutale 800 is a stylish, premium, high-performance naked bike which will holds special exotic appeal the Italian brand is renowned for. Expected to offer crackling performance along with gorgeous looks, the Brutale 800 is expected to be one of the most popular MV Agusta bikes in India.

The 2016 model Brutale 800 which will be launched in India in July 2016, sees some visual and a few technical tweaks as well to meet Euro 4 emissions norms. The visual changes include a re-designed tail section, fuel tank, exhaust, taillight and new LED headlight.

Powered by an in-line three cylinder engine with counter-rotating crankshaft, the Brutale 800 produces 116bhp maximum power and peak torque of 83Nm. Then there is traction control, and a new electronics package which now incorporates a quickshifter that functions on upshifts as well as downshifts. The Brutale 800 is expected to be one of the highest selling MV Agustas in India.

5. Hero had revealed the concept version of this 600cc street-naked bike at the 12th edition of Auto Expo in 2014. Touted as a global product, Hero Hastur is built by Hero Motor Corp and its US partner Erik Buell Racing.

The concept version also featured Hero’s ‘geosic tubular chassis’ which uses components like trellis frame and trellis swingarm. The probable suspension set up comprises of 43 mm adjustable inverted forks up front and adjustable monoshock at rear.

From the looks of it, Hastur appears to be a sporty bike featuring a distinguished styling. Besides the bike may feature comfort equipment such as electric start, pass lights and step-up seat/split seat.
