GUWAHATI: The United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) while observing its protest day on Monday said that is was in ready mode to respond to the atrocities against indigenous people by security forces
The Paresh Baruah-led outfit, which has stepped up its activities in recent times, described its attack on the Army convoy in Tinsukia district as an example of “resistance against the security forces”.
Looking this at a microscopic level the army has stepped up its operational maneuvers against the United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) in Assam in the aftermath of the attack on security elements in Tinsukia.
According to sources at least four militants of the group who were behind the attack on the convoy have been identified and believed to have crossed into Arunachal Pradesh.
Search operations were conducted at various places in Sivasagar, Tinsukia and Dibrugarh districts.
