GUWAHATI: 2000 e-rickshaws in the city limits of Guwahati are ready to face the hammer as the district administration has laid down an order to restrict e-rickshaws from plying on the main roads.
Deputy Commissioner M Angamuthu has asked the drivers of e-rickshaws to get their vehicles registered by then. Angumuthu being the chairman of the regional transport authority autthoirty has directed the district transport officials to not allow dealers to sell new e-rickshaws before registering existing vehicles.
“If someone violates the norms, his license will be cancelled” he added.
