ITANAGAR: After dropping of three Cabinet Ministers from his council of ministry, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu dropped five Parliamentary Secretaries from their posts.
The dropped Parliamentary Secretaries were, Muchu Mithi (PWD), Markio Tado (Food and Supplies), Tirong Aboh (Geology & Mining), Dikto Yaker (Art & Culture) and Nikh Kamin (Disaster Management), an official notification issued here today.
Earlier, Chief Minister Khandu dropped three Cabinet Ministers on Saturday last, were Tanga Byaling (Rural Dev. & PR), Rajesh Tacho (Animal Husbandry & Dairy Dev.) and Takam Pario (Public Health Engineering, Water Supply & Disaster Management.
It might be mentioned expressing full confidence on saffron party Chief Minister Pema Khandu along with his 32 Peoples’ Party of Arunachal (PPA) MLAs switched over to BJP on December 31, last.
After the SC’s roll back verdict issued in July last, The Congress legislators in a meeting elected Pema Khandu as new Chief Minister of the state replacing former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki.
The Congress party lost its government in September when Khandu and his 42 MLAs joined to regional PPA. Being a regional party, PPA was automatically an associate member of North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), formed by BJP with the all regional political parties in the region.
