ITANAGAR: Another feather has been added into the hat of Northeast India as the region has repeatedly proved itself to be a talent pool in various domains.
This time, its Dr Alai Taggu from Arunachal Pradesh. He is the first specialist physician in Critical Care Medicine from Northeast Indian region who presented his clinical research papers at the 29th annual congress of European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) 2016 held at Milan in Italy, from 1-5 October.
ESICM’s annual convention is one of the largest and most innovative international scientific meetings held in intensive care and emergency medicine.
Taggu, who hails from Aalo in West Siang, Arunachal Pradesh, had also previously won a gold medal in critical care medicine (2013-16) from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
He was also a recipient of the distinguished Fellow of American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), USA and an alumnus of JIPMER, Pondicherry. He is also a regular guest speaker in many Intensive Care Medicine related conferences and forums across the globe.
