5 lesser known facts about Dolyne Kharbhih second girl from Meghalaya who scaled Everest

 

Following the footsteps of Wansuk Myrthong who became the first woman from Meghalaya to conquer the 8,848 ft Mount Everest. Another girl from the state of Meghalaya has elevated the state by scaling Mount Everest.

Here are five lesser known facts about Dolyne Kharbhih the second girl from Meghalaya to make a mark on Everest

1. Dolyne Kharbhih is an active member of the Meghalaya Rock Climbing and Mountaineering Association.

2.  She was part of the training for the Mt Everest mission, Pre-Everest Expedition which was undertaken to Mt DeoTibba (19,688ft), near Manali in Himachal Pradesh and 15 screened cadets were given a shot on the second Pre-Everest expedition to Mt Trishul (23,360ft) which 10 cadets were selected  for Everest expedition.

3. She is the third person from Meghalaya after Gary Jarman Lamare and Wansuk Myrthong.

4. Dolyne Kharbhih is a resident of Nongsder village in Ri-Bhoi district.

5.She is a GCI(Girls Cadet Instructors) serving in 62 Assam Girls Bn NCC, Silchar under NCC Directorate, North Eastern Region, Shillong.
